It was so hot last weekend, we were forced to stay indoors much of the time. And this coming week is going to be a scorcher. So, we tried to make the most of this slightly milder, more temperate weekend!
On Saturday, we divided and conquered. Jackson and Daniel went to Kettler to watch the Caps' rookies play hockey. Look at my handsome boys:
All the while, Addison and I went to WalMart--we were almost out of diapers, gasp! And then we went to DSW to do some shoe shopping, and had a bottle under a pink flowering tree next to a fountain--it was a lovely morning. That afternoon we ventured out to Eastern Market, and ate corn on the cob from a farm stand at the Market for dinner. A delightful summer day, all around.
Then on Sunday, after church (the babies and I) and hockey (Daniel) and lunch (the babies and I) and naps (the babies and Daniel), we loaded up and went to Olivia's to join her in her pool. And it was wonderful! The babies were super animated in the water--lots of kicking and splashing and putting of faces in the water. **sidenote: Jackson pooped in the pool! but we caught it before it got out of hand, or out of his water diaper! yikes, but I guess that's a risk you take when you put a baby in a pool!!
When we got home we decided to take the walker and the babies out for a walk. They put on quite the show for us:
(how happy and handsome is Jackson?!)
(we didn't put pants on after the pool--pants are overrated! who needs pants for walking anyway?!)
(Addison has a new smile--she really lays it on thick and scrunches up her face. as you can see, she almost looks angry--but rest assured, it's just a huge, goofy smile)
Lots of weekend fun with the babies!
