In terrible news, the Norovirus (a yucky 24-hour stomach flu) has ravaged much of Naples, the hotel, and our meeting, and we have a few victims in our suite as well--my mom, Whitney, and Jackson (who might have been the first to get sick on Tuesday night) have all been sick . In good news, a) my meeting ended yesterday and b) everyone is feeling a little bit better, so today we played in the pool for a little bit, then after naps we walked down to the beach. The beach was lovely, the sun was getting ready to set, and the babies had a great time running around on the beach (once they got used to having sand under their feet), seeing the birds (a few almost attacked Whitney for a Ritz cracker, yikes), and splashing a little bit in the water. It was a nice way to end the day and the week!
*You'll see in that close up of Addison that she has an ouchie under her lip--yesterday, we went down to the sundeck to run around, and she collided with Jackson. I went to pick them up from their fall, and she had blood running out of her mouth (which caused her mother to freak out on the inside--remained calm on the outside)! We headed back up to the room, and by the time we got to the elevator were sure it wasn't a serious injury (she hadn't bitten through her lip, all of her teeth were in tact, etc). By the time we reached the 9th floor, she was ready to run down the hallway. So, even though Addison was fine--she'd split her lip and I think her teeth had bitten down on impact, scraping the skin above her chin--the incident was a bit traumatic for mom!
